Why we are called the Best Feeling Shirt Co

The Best Feeling Shirt Co. is a woman-owned small business located in Fortville, IN.  I hand print each shirt that comes out of my shop. Both my designs and custom work receive great attention to detail.

We differ from the typical screenprinter in the inks and shirts we use.  Some are 100% cotton, some are blends...all are soft to the touch and comfortable to wear.  The ink is water-based ink (not solvent-based plastisol like most shops use). What that means for you- our vibrant prints start out soft and get softer with each wash.

WATER Using water-based inks means that after your shirt is printed, clean-up doesn't require  harsh chemicals. Screenprinting is typically a high water use business, but I take steps to conserve water and even have modified my  clean-up station to use less water AND make sure the water that is used is highly filtered (8 different levels of filtration) before it leaves the shop.

AIR  No aerosols are used in my shop.

ENERGY The equipment that I use in the shop are all highly efficient.  The less my carbon footprint, the better.  I have equipped the shop to make it as green as possible.  The dryer (where your shirt's ink is cured) is ultra efficient, using minimal electricity.  The heater within is a high-tech infared heater.  The exposure unit that I use to make the screens is designed to "burn" them quickly and with as little energy as possible.  It is equipped with LED UV lights.  The shop itself is also lit with high efficiency LED lights.

CONSUMABLES Every shop has supplies that are consumables.  In screen printing, some are necessary and some are merely a convenience.  I have replaced all of the consumables I can with re-useable alternatives.  Some examples:

No Paper Towels-Instead I use washable cloth towels

Minimal Clean-up cards- Instead I use silicone spatulas

Tape- I  re-use tape when possible or use an alternative like reusable Mylar

Dip Tank -I use a dip tank for screen reclaiming and save washing a lot of extra chemicals down the drain

Scrub instead of spray during water clean-up.

My personal designs that you'll find in the online shop are wholesome, honest and artistic. I'd like to bring more light into the world.  I hope I can do that for you (with one of my designs) or with you (on a shirt you'd like to have printed).
